John Mairose served five years in the US Army as a Combat Medic, with deployments to Mogadishu, Somalia and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. He then worked more than 22 years in law enforcement as a patrolman, field training officer, SWAT team member (entry team and sniper), defensive tactics instructor, narcotics detective, FBI Safe Streets task force officer, and DEA task force agent. John is currently certified by the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training (DOCJT) as a pistol, rifle and shotgun instructor. John is also a use of force analyst certified through the Force Science Institute. He has been a certified firearms instructor for over 20 years. John co-founded Kopis Tactical LLC with Josh Bornhorn.
Joshua Bornhorn served nine years in the US Army as an Infantryman and is now an active police officer in northern Kentucky with experience as a SWAT team leader and shift commander. He is a DOCJT certified firearms instructor and AR-15 armorer. He is a Kentucky Colonel and member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the Military Order of the Purple Heart.
Tony Hill is a retired police officer with over 21 years of experience and 15 years as a member of the Ohio Army National Guard as an Infantryman and Cavalry Scout. His law enforcement experience includes 10 years as a SWAT team member, entry team, sniper team, sniper team leader and primary firearms instructor. He is certified by DOCJT.
